The Picture and Witness Evaluation Program, known as the “PAW” Program, was developed by CKC to evaluate non-registered purebred dogs for possible inclusion into CKC’s purebred dog registry.

We have released two other videos with more information about the PAW program to help you know if it is right for you and how to properly complete the application process. In this video, we will give you some tips and show you how to take pictures of your dog in order to submit them.

Companies try to create a "homey atmosphere" for their workers. When allowing pets to be brought in, firms rely on research that shows the positive impact of cats and dogs on work processes. For example, experts from the Central University of Michigan (USA) have proved that pet-friendly office employees are less prone to have conflict with each other and become more responsive. Moreover, animals set people up for a positive mood and reduce nervousness levels.

The PAW Program is used by Continental Kennel Club to evaluate purebred dogs for which the original registration records have been lost, or the ancestry is undocumented. The requirements and guidelines for submitting your dog for PAW evaluation are outlined below. The PAW evaluation process takes about 30 days to complete, and the results (pass or fail) are sent out upon completion of the process.

If your dog is not purebred, the “Non-Purebred Canine Registration Application” might be the correct app for you. However, if your dog is purebred, and you would like to have it evaluated, you can use the “CKC Paw Application.”
