There are dog breeds out there that look very similar. Sometimes you see one and have to ask yourself which breed you’re staring at. It’s almost like looking at twins! Like twins, people usually have a specific way of telling the difference. So what are some things you can look for when seeing an Irish wolfhound and a Scottish deerhound? These small dogs have been known to exist in China since the eighth century. Surviving for more than thirteen hundred years, the breed was first referenced in the ancient artwork of the Tang Dynasty. The breed reached the peak of its popularity in the early to mid-1800s, when it was said that thousands of them were kept at various palaces.
