Dogs and owners share many things, including their outlook on life. One study from the Department of Behavioral Biology at the University of Vienna found that pessimistic and neurotic owners often had dogs that didn’t cope well with stressors. Researchers speculated they picked up on their owner’s neuro chemicals and behaviors and read stressful situations as more threatening than dogs of owners who were less neurotic or pessimistic.
