Hi! I am Tami, a small Pekingese breeder located in South Central Pennsylvania. I love this breed and have found out that there are not enough purebred Pekingese out there. This loyal and loving breed is wonderful for small spaces and is content to play in limited spaces or just hang out on your lap!

I currently have a breeding pair that delivered a litter on 12/1/2024. There are 2 left in this litter of 3, which will be ready for their new homes on 2/1/2025. Both sire and dam live on site, and all are treated as if they are my 4-legged kiddos. They will have their health guarantee with my veterinarian, be up-to-date on vaccinations, and be dewormed before going to their new homes.

I have a long history with this breed. I got my first purebred Pekingese in the early 1990s. I showed her in a few registered dog shows in Pennsylvania, where she took home some 2nd place ribbons in her class in Harrisburg and Bryn Mawr. She was content to be a pet, and I loved having a loyal companion by my side for the wonderful 16 years I was blessed to have her. Life happened, and it was not until 2 years ago that I got my next Pekingese. Boy, I did not realize how much I missed this breed! Now, I want to be able to share the joy of Pekingese ownership with others.

This breed is loyal and loves its people. They come in different colors, and their weight can range from 10 to 12 pounds, fully grown. With their smooshed noses, they have flat profiles. This can lead to them sounding like they are grunting. Mine like to make that noise when they are happy and content. This breed also definitely has an attitude… what is often referred to as a Peke-tude. They are little lions in a puppy’s body, but they do not let that keep them from ruling the roost and telling others not to mess with their family. They have a lot of hair, so brushing at least once a week is necessary to avoid matting and knots.
