Email Communication
Continental Kennel Club complies with the CAN-SPAM Act. Enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), this act applies to “any electronic mail message for which the primary purpose is commercial advertisement or promotion of a commercial product or service.” Based on the laws regulating this type of communication with you, CKC:

  • Will never use false or misleading header information. Our “From,” “To,” “Reply-To,” and routing information clearly identifies CKC as the originator of the message.
  • Will never use deceptive subject lines.
  • Will always disclose our location in the footer of each email.
  • Will always provide opt-out information and methods in a clear, conspicuous manner.

Membership Communication
Continental Kennel Club provides a membership experience to club members with a CKC-registered dog, which includes a variety of special services and customized communications. For this reason, club members who choose to unsubscribe from all CKC email communications may still receive additional email notifications that contain transactional or related content. Transactional or related email correspondence may:

  • Facilitate, confirm, and/or deliver goods or services as part of a transaction that you have agreed to, or
  • Give information about a change in terms or features regarding your membership with CKC or your enrollment in a CKC-facilitated program or event.

Data Collection

CKC is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We only collect personally identifiable information from you when you provide it voluntarily. This data can be collected by:

  • Completing a form on the website, including contact forms, email subscription forms, or any form necessary for purchasing a product, service, or subscription.
  • Registering a puppy, dog, or litter using an online registration form on the website.
  • Registering for your Continental Kennel Club account via the member portal on the website.
  • Logging into your Continental Kennel Club account via the member portal on the website.
  • The submission of your information by another member of CKC via a referral or contact form on the website.

If you do not choose to provide personally identifiable information, we may still collect information such as the date and time of your visit, the originating IP address, the pages requested, etc. This information is not tied to your identity.

Data Security

CKC recognizes the importance of protecting your personal information. When you submit sensitive information on our website, it is protected. Sensitive information such as credit card data is encrypted and transmitted securely. You can verify this by checking for the lock icon and “https” in the URL bar of your browser. You can also view the security icons in our footer, which are provided by our service providers, including GoDaddy, TrustWave, and Authorize.net Payment Processor.

Your information is also protected offline. Only employees who need to access your information to complete a specific job, such as billing or customer service, are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers and servers where this information may be stored are located in a secure facility.

When you voluntarily provide personal information, we will use it to contact you based on the reason you provided the information.

CKC will never share your information with any third-party or partner organization(s) unless it is necessary in order to fulfill your request or deliver services that you have requested (e.g., to ship an order, to email you with information related to an order, or to fulfill trial benefits and/or partner services bundled with a product or service you purchased from CKC).

Returns And Refunds Returns & Refunds

Certified Document Revisions

  • Items such as certificates, pedigrees, photo ID cards, and dog tags may be returned for corrections within 60 days of the issue date without a reissue fee. 
  • Items returned for corrections after 60 days from the issue date will be subject to reissue fees.

Order Not Received

Registration Documents

  • Members must notify Continental Kennel Club within 60 days of the registration date if they have not received their registration documents. They will be reissued at no charge.
  • Notifying CKC of missing documents more than 60 days beyond the registration date will result in a reissue fee.

Puppy Applications

  • Members must notify us within 30 days of the registration date if they have not received their registration documents. They will be reissued at no charge.
  • Notifying CKC of missing Puppy Registration Applications more than 30 days beyond the registration date will result in a reissue fee.

Missing or Damaged Items

  • If you’ve not received your item(s) or they arrive damaged, please see our Shipping Policy.
  • If you have not received your microchip within 60 days of the order date, please contact us.
  • If your chip arrives damaged or broken, it must be returned to CKC to qualify for reimbursement or replacement.

Return & Refund Requirements

  1. Customers may return any unwanted item(s) to Continental Kennel Club within thirty (30) days of receipt for a full refund.

  2. Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition they arrived in to receive a refund.

  3. Upon receipt of a return, CKC will inspect the item(s) to determine if a refund will be issued. 

  4. If approved, a refund will be issued to the customer's original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item(s).

  5. CKC does not issue refunds for overpayments of $0.01 to $1.00.

  6. Unless Continental Kennel Club states otherwise, the customer is responsible for paying postage and/or shipping fees to return unwanted items to CKC. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

  7. Litter processing fees are non-refundable in the event that a sire owner disputes a litter registration.

  8. Packages containing items for return should be addressed as follows:

Return Status & Tracking

  • Members may track the status of CKC orders and returns by logging into their MyCKC account here.
  • Customers without a MyCKC account may contact CKC by phone, live chat, or email to inquire about the status of a return.

Timelapse Policy

Orders designated as pending for more than 90 days will be placed on hold and are non-refundable. Reissue fees are assessed in accordance with the Member Service Fee Schedule.

Shipping And Fullfilmment Shipping & Fulfillment

Shipment and Processing Time

Under normal circumstances, applications received by mail, fax, email, or via our online registration system are processed within five (5) working days, upon receipt, excluding weekends and holidays. These timeframes may be altered due to emergencies, natural disasters, or other interruptions to the mail. 

CKC updates the website footer a few times each week with current processing dates. You can view which mail’s receipt date is currently being processed by going to ckcusa.com and scrolling all the way down to the footer.  

  • Special breed registrations that require research may require additional time for processing.

  • Physical registration documents are mailed from our office upon completion and should arrive within 7-10 business days of processing, depending on your location.

  • They are mailed 1st class via USPS unless a customer requests and pays for expedited mail services. Contact our Customer Service Team for additional information. 

  • If you do not receive your documents after the 10th business day, please contact our office immediately. 

  • Members must immediately review their registration documents upon receipt. 

  • Time limits and fees for corrections and reissued documents are assessed by document type according to the current Member Service Fee Schedule after the established timeframe has lapsed. Please see this document for time limits and pricing.

  • Out-of-stock merchandise will be shipped as soon as it is available. 

  • If we cannot ship an ordered item within 5 business days, or if it is permanently out of stock, you will be notified and given the option for a refund. 

Shipment to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO/DPO Addresses

  • Continental Kennel Club ships to addresses within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
    • U.S. Territories include Puerto Rico (PR), the U.S. Virgin Islands (VI), and Guam (GU).

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

  • Continental Kennel Club is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. 
  • All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).
  • Delivery of items shipped internationally may arrive outside our standard delivery window.

Damaged Items and Items Not Received

  • Continental Kennel Club is not liable for damage(s) during shipping. 
    • If your item is damaged on arrival, please contact CKC for further instructions.
    • Please retain all packaging and the damaged item(s).
  • Certain packages may be reimbursed/replaced via claim(s) with the shipment carrier.
    • CKC will provide the necessary tracking information upon request.
    • Puppy or Canine Package C - These are mailed with a tracking number and will not be reissued without payment. The tracking number will be supplied to the member at their request to file a claim with their local post office.
  • If you’ve not received your item(s) within 60 days of the order date, please contact us. 
  • Notification of a missing item more than 60 days beyond the order date will result in a fee for replacement at CKC’s discretion.

Terms Ofservice Terms of Service

Service Availability

Yes, CKC registers dogs in all 50 states and many foreign countries except Canada. We do not register dogs in Canada due to a legal agreement with the Canadian Kennel Club. You may use an alternate United States address, and we’ll happily process the registration for you.

US Territories, including Puerto Rico (PR), US Virgin Islands (VI), Guam (GU), APO, and FPO addresses, are charged NO additional fees.

Liability Limitations

The information and materials on the Website could include technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. Changes are periodically made to the information contained herein. CONTINENTAL KENNEL CLUB MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO ANY INFORMATION, MATERIALS OR GRAPHICS ON THE WEB SITE, ALL OF WHICH IS PROVIDED ON A STRICTLY "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND AND HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO ANY INFORMATION, MATERIALS OR GRAPHICS ON THE WEB SITE, INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Errors in processing on the part of CKC that deviate from the information supplied are our responsibility and will be corrected and/or reissued at no charge to the member. This includes incorrect or missing information that delays delivery (apartment or box numbers), incorrect canine identifying information (name, sex, or color), etc.

CKC accepts registration applications for processing and issues registration certificates based on the accuracy of the information submitted by the registration applicant(s) and member(s). CKC accepts no liability for any inaccurate, false, or fraudulent information submitted on registration applications but will correct such information if CKC determines it to be in error.

Documents found to be fraudulent or forged will result in the immediate revocation of all canines, puppies, and litters produced from the fraudulent or forged documents and the immediate suspension of the violator's registration rights and privileges. CKC may also, at its discretion, pursue additional legal action against violators.

Changes to Terms

Continental Kennel Club reserves the right to change these "Terms of Use" at any time by posting new "Terms of Use" at this location. You can email Continental Kennel Club with any questions relating to these Terms of Use at [email protected].

NSF (Returned Checks)

  1. Fees for checks submitted as payment for registration service(s) returned for insufficient funds are the responsibility of the club member.

  2. Any canine registrations associated with the delinquent payment will be suspended until the proper payment and NSF fees are paid in full.

  3. Payment for NSF's must be remitted by debit/credit card or money order. Checks are NOT accepted as payment for clearing NSF charges.
