The Lay Down Command

The down behavior allows our puppy to rest comfortably in a laying position, so it is great when you need your puppy to lay still for a long period of time. 

To get this behavior we will lure our puppy into a down position and slowly fade the lure. If your puppy is struggling, don't be afraid to start the session over and slow it down for them. 

The Leave It Command

This is a command that could be handy when you drop something you don't want your puppy to either eat or chew on. For this lesson, you'll need two sets of treats, some low value and some high value. 

You'll use the low-value treats as bait and the high value treats as a reward. Repeat the steps in the video until your puppy starts to understand, then you may increase the value of the treats.
